From Those We Have Served
In January of 2004 we sold a Community Housing Partnership home in Wilson, North Carolina. While we getting the house ready to sell we advertised in local newspapers in hopes of finding an eligible buyer. A young woman called regarding our ad, a lifelong renter who was unsure if she could even qualify for a mortgage. We were able to pair her with a great mortgage representative we know locally who could provide a loan for a buyer in North Carolina. In the end our buyer was able to purchase a good, quality home for $15,500 less than its after-market value. Today she lives affordably in a place that, for the first time, she can call her own. Not long after we closed the sale and returned to New Jersey, we received a letter from one happy new homeowner down in North Carolina. She included pictures of her family in their new home so that we could see how much they enjoyed it. She also expressed her appreciation in some very kind words that we want to share with you:
“I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to your company for making my dream as a homeowner come true. I am a single mother of two wonderful little girls. I thought owning a home would be impossible with my credit history and other situations. However, all of that changed when I met [Sonya], Kent, and the people of Affordable Homes Group. I would like for you and Kent to come back down south to Wilson, North Carolina to visit and take a tour of my home, just let me know when, because you are welcomed anytime.”
