Our organization is conscious of issues that affect our environment, and we are often concerned about such problems as energy usage, consumption of materials, and waste.  We are very excited to announce that The Salt & Light Company built and sold a brand new, environmentally conscious and low energy-consuming single family home.  This project represented a new venture for our organization, as its design and construction are innovative and forward-thinking for us and for the community.

We know that most consumers today feel burdened by increasing energy costs, and many would certainly welcome some relief from their monthly utility costs.  We are concerned, however, that the general public does not take into consideration the limited availability of certain energy sources, nor realize the serious strain our nation will face as the population grows and our resources become scarce.

As a nation we have a responsibility to become more environmentally conscious.  Consumers must become more aware of their consumption and waste.  Home builders must burden some of the responsibility as well, and incorporate materials that are eco-friendly.  With their increasing availability and decreasing costs, no valid excuse exists for not bringing these materials into the design of a new home.
